Slow Food DFW Offers Farm Scholarship to Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Annual Conference.

Slow Food DFW is offering a scholarship for a Region 4 or other farmer that sells in the DFW market to attend the 2020 TOFGA Conference from January 16 – 18, 2020, in Temple, Texas. This conference focuses on education and advocacy for Texas farmers, ranchers, and gardeners who practice organic and sustainable measures. Hundreds from around Texas will gather to share and learn about sustainable practices in farming, share in local farm food, build stronger markets/businesses farms. The scholarship will cover the registration for the entire two day conference, the Friday night banquet, and a hotel stipend of $150. Applications for scholarship are being accepted now through January 6, 2020 at 5pm. The scholarship recipient will be contacted directly by Slow Food DFW within a few days of deadline.

Slow Food DFW encourages all farms, ranches and food advocates to be a member of Slow Food USA, however it is not a requirement to apply.
